Blood of Lathander in Baldur's Gate 3: stained glass window in Rosimorn Cloister

You will find yourself in Rosimorne's Abode during Laesel's quest "Find the Githyanki Manger". In this guide we will tell you, How to solve the stained glass window puzzle and find the legendary Blood of Lathander mace.

Where to find Rosimorn's Hold in Baldur's Gate 3?

Travel to Mountain Pass and reach the Trielt Cliff runestone.. From there, follow the road to the northeast.

If you can pass a strength check with difficulty 15, then for a quick descent to the Rosimorn Abode you can use the cable car, . If you fail, take a roundabout path, avoiding pitfalls.

How to open the doors of the Rosimorn Abode?

The main doors of the Rosimorn Abode will be closed. They cannot be hacked or knocked out, so you'll have to look for a workaround. There are several ways, which you can use.

The first is broken windows on the first floor to the left of the main entrance. You can easily jump in there, but be prepared to fight a crowd of drunken kobolds. There are also a lot of exploding barrels inside.

The second path is the gnarled roots near the rune stone. You can climb up them, and then walk along the stones to the wooden barricade, blocking the way to the second floor.

Break it down, to get inside and get ready to fight with a whole flock of Rattlers, who will attack you.

How to solve the stained glass window puzzle?

Your next goal is floor stained glass, located in one of the rooms on the second floor of the Rosimorn Abode. The exact location is shown on the map below. Here you need to solve the ceremonial weapon puzzle.

Looking around, you will notice four pedestals with signs around the stained glass window. On one of them lies a glowing Ceremonial Longsword. If you managed to steal it, return it to its place., we will still need it.

To solve the puzzle, you need to find three more missing ceremonial weapons and place them on pedestals in accordance with the images on the stained glass window.

Ceremonial War Hammer

To get the hammer you will have to go up to the roof and look for it in the eagles' nest. If you leave the room with the stained glass and go right, you will see a wooden barricade, that can be broken.

There are gnarled roots right behind it, which will lead you to the top (cm. Blood Finger Guide 2). You can use the Speak to Animals spell or the corresponding potion.

Unfortunately, it won't make the birds give you their prey. We tried sneaking the hammer or using the Magic Hand, but there was only one outcome: as soon as you pick up the weapon, the battle begins.

Ceremonial mace

To find the mace, you need to go down to the first floor of the Rosimorn Abode. You can climb back down from the roof along the gnarled roots, and then from this platform jump down the stones.

There you need to kill all the Kobolds, if you haven't done it before, and then search their bodies. On one of them you will find a Ceremonial Mace. Grab it and go back to the second floor..

Ceremonial battle ax

If you return to the room with the stained glass window and go left from it through the hole in the floor, you will see an enchanted door there. Despite the name, you can hack it like any other.

A guard will be waiting for you inside, at whose feet lies an ax. Again, it won't be possible to take him away secretly.. As soon as you touch the weapon, the guard will become hostile and a fight will begin.

How to position weapons around stained glass?

Collecting all the ceremonial weapons, return to the broken stained glass window and place it on the pedestals. You can select a weapon in your inventory and simply throw it at the right place. The screenshot below shows the correct order:

  • Northwest (initially lies in place) - ceremonial long sword;
  • Northeast (Master Zari Sid) - ceremonial war hammer;
  • Southeast (Master Zari Stockhold) — ceremonial mace;
  • South-west (master Zari Bazid) - ceremonial battle ax.

Master Dawn's Crest

When all the weapons are in place, a small niche will open in the wall, inside which the wallet will lie. Read the letter, to start the quest "Find the Blood of Lathander".

Inside you will also find the Dawn Master's Crest. Be sure to save this item, we'll need it at the very end, to pick up the legendary mace from the Chamber of Secrets.

Where to find Blood of Lathander in Baldur's Gate 3?

To move on, you need to find the entrance to the Illek nursery. To do this, through the second floor of the Rosimorn Abode, go to the eastern wing, and then go down the stairs.

There you can break another barricade, walk a little further and end up on the back side of the main entrance gate. From them go down the stairs, until you see the door, leading to the monastery basement. This is the Manger.

Inside you will be greeted by a whole squad of not very friendly Githyanki. We recommend entrusting the conversation to Laezel, to get inside without a fight and unnecessary conflicts.

Captain's room

Keep going forward, and then turn right to the runestone "Manger Illek". From there, continue along the corridor to the north., to get to the Captain's Room.

If you don't want to do the main quest yet, then carefully sneak up to Kithrak Terezzin and steal the Githyanki Shard from her. This is the key, which you can slot into a Githyanki Barrier Breaker, to remove the curtain and open a passage in the same room.

Chambers of the Inquisitor

Keep moving forward, until you reach the Inquisitor's Quarters. Don't talk to Chirai Vvargaz, but instead go to the small room with two statues in the western part of the hall.

Under these statues there are signs with inscriptions, which are the key to this riddle:

  • Lathander lovingly bids farewell to the setting sun;
  • Lathander blesses the rising sun, source of all blessings.

To move on, you need to turn these statues to face east and west respectively. The left statue will not spin. To move it from its place, you need to give her at least 10 units. damage at once.

After that, unfold the statues like this, so that the left one looks up, and the right one is down. This will unlock a hidden passage in the wall., leading to the Secret Staircase. Going down it, you will find yourself in the Chamber of Secrets.

How to get through the Chamber of Secrets?

Inside the Chamber of Secrets you need to disable several barriers, to get to the legendary mace Blood of Lathander. To pass through the first veil, just break the blue crystal, which is the source of energy.

The path to the second barrier is blocked by a trap. Deal with her, and then climb up the stone ledge, to go behind the wall on the left. There you will see another trap and another energy source, which needs to be destroyed.

Energy source, feeding the last barrier, located on the rocks at the bottom right. Deal with him and you can go into the room with the mace. Just in case, we recommend making a manual save in this place.

Legendary Mace Blood of Lathander

be careful: as soon as you try to pick up the mace from the pedestal, the whole room will begin to move and the countdown will begin until the destruction of the Illek Manger. You will have everything 4 course, to escape or disarm the device.

There are two options, how can you fix everything. Firstly, on a pedestal, where was the Blood of Lathander, there is a panel with a coat of arms. Insert Master Dawn's Crest there, which we took from the stained glass window at the very beginning of the guide. This will stop the explosion immediately.

Important! If you insert a comb after activating the destruction mechanism and starting the countdown, then all NPCs in the Manger will become hostile. So first we insert the comb, then take the mace.

The second option is to destroy the four Solar Engines of Lathander until, until the countdown ends. Keep in mind, that they can only be reached with long-range attacks, and the character, who took the mace, will be blocked in the central circle and will not be able to help with the destruction of the Solar Machines.

All characteristics of the legendary mace Blood of Lathander are shown in the screenshot below. It gives the owner the following bonuses:

  • Blessing of Lathander - once until next long rest, when the owner runs out of health points, they are restored to 2-12 OZ. Moreover, all allies in radius 9 m also restored 1-6 OZ.
  • Light of Lathander - Sheds sacred light in a radius 6 m. In battle, beasts and undead, caught in the circle of light, are blinded, if they fail the endurance test.
