Tormented Souls: Solutions to all puzzles

Tormented Souls contains many puzzles, which you have to decide, to advance the plot. All these puzzles, except one, required to complete the game. This guide will show, how to quickly solve all the puzzles, which can be useful when doing speedruns or just for reference on the first playthrough.
Depending on whether, which patch are you playing the game on, you can find, that some sections of this manual do not match. This is because, that in early patches some items were moved, and some rooms are completely changed. This is especially noticeable between 1,00 and 1,01. This guide is relevant to the patch 1.02.


Code lock

*In the room, where do you start the game, there will be a lock on the cabinet. Unlock it with a combination 1235, to take a wrench, then interact with the head of the wrench, to open it slightly. Now use the wrench on the door.

Turning on the generator

Once you get to the Generator, you will need to turn on the generator. Take the valve next to that spot, where do you run the generator, and go down to the control panel. Place the valve on the lower left pipe, then open them all, except for the bottom valve on the right side, so that the scale shows 11 Kg / cm. Now go back to the generator itself and turn it on.

Opening the library door

Once you get the door knocker in the chapel and the stethoscope in the sewing room, you will need to use the door knocker on the library door in E-F2. Now you need to knock out the correct sequence, to open it. Before the game lets you do it, you must use the stethoscope on the statue in the main hall. Go back to the library door and knock in this sequence: * *** * *

Elevator puzzle

Once you enter the corridor in W-F2 with the threaded bolt, take the elevator down to F1. Roll the cart right into the elevator, to block the opening in the elevator. Climb up to the reception at W-F2, to get a threaded bolt, then return to the elevator in the chapel, to go to F2. Use the threaded bolt on the fuse box here.

Skeleton :with

As soon as you enter the experimental room in the basement, it will have a skeleton with buttons and a sign with a riddle. Press the buttons in the following order, to open a secret passage:

  • Head, Life, Hand, Throat, A heart, Throat

Combined key

As soon as you get the Combined Key from the Experimental Room and the Boiler Room, you will be able to open four doors throughout the mansion, each containing a riddle.

Pharmacy door

There will be a pharmacy door in the east wing hallway in E-F1.. The solution is:

  • Star, Triangle, Hexagon

Archive door

The Chapel in W-F1 will have a door to the Archives. The solution is:

  • Square, Triangle, Star

Dining room door

The dining room on E-F2 will have a door to an unnamed room.. The solution is:

  • Square, Hexagon, Pentagon

Intensive care corridor door

There will be a door to the Intensive Care Corridor in the West Wing Corridor in W-F2. The solution is:

  • Pentagon, Triangle, A circle

Cash register code

After gaining access to the archives, you will be able to access the rack, where will you find the cash register. Open it with code 0414, to get a coin. The code is determined by the number of lines, intersecting with the dot on the tooltips.


Room 2D in W-F2 will have a judges' stand with multiple controls, which you can rotate. but, before you can do anything about it, you will need a roll of parchment and a hammer. Use the Scroll of Parchment on the Judge Podium Ledge, then turn the gears, to match the puzzle on the parchment:

  • Hands on eyes, Hands on ears, Hands on mouth, Headless

Floppy disk

As soon as you have a floppy disk from the shower in the W-F1, go to the warehouse next to the chapel. Here you will find the computer, to rewrite the keycode. but, before you can rewrite the code, rotate the floppy disk and unlock the write lock in the lower right corner, to enable recording. Now insert the floppy disk into your computer and enter the code:

  • Martha

Grandfather Clock

Walking into the East Wing Lounge in the E-F1, you will find the clock, which allow you to change the date, month, time, minute and second. Install 25 December, 8:15:25, and you will receive the Jade Eye.

Music Record Puzzle

Obtaining the Jade Eye, you can use it on the bust in the Office at E-F2, to open the panel with seven buttons. You will need to play the song, played on a gramophone in the same room. Use the solution, which is shown below

Key puzzle

To insert the key dial into the grooves at the bottom of the main hall, you will need to rotate all the dials on it, so that they match the indentation. Align all sides below, to post it.

Endless room

Inside the underground area, you will find a room with a recording in front of it.. This room – Endless room.
This room is one big puzzle with 4 doors, 4 pedestals and 4 directions. There's a sign in the corner, telling a story, and you need to go through the right door, to keep it going, otherwise it is discarded. With each correct step in the puzzle, a candle in the chandelier lights up. Below are the correct steps to escape:

  1. "New Adventure" – Golden door
  2. "Fell into the sea" – Empty pedestal
  3. "Ursa Minor" – North
  4. "Furious storm" – Wooden door
  5. "Floating Alone" – pedestal with mud
  6. "Desert Island" – Pedestal with coals
  7. "The days are gone" – West / O


In the sewer you will find a switch, which you can use on the TV in Caroline's bedroom, which can be accessed through a mirror in the sewer storage room. You will be able to switch between 12 channels, 5 of which the image will be shown. You need to switch between 5 images in a specific order, as when using a combination lock. note, what if you flip the dial at all, the riddle will be reset. Just turn off your TV and turn it back on. The solution is:

  1. Start with Yin Yang
  2. Turn the dial to the right / clockwise 8 time, to the spider
  3. Turn the dial to the left / counterclock-wise 5 time, to see the four leaf clover.
  4. Turn the dial to the right / clockwise 7 times to tricycle.
  5. Turn the dial to the left / counterclock-wise 4 times to the dice.


In Bunker 1-2B you will find a gas pump with many valves. To solve this riddle, you will need three pipe plugs first, which can be found in Bunker 1A, Bunker 2A and Bunker 3B. You will also need a canister, which can be found in the prison at the end of the bunker.
First of all, inspect the canister and open the lid, then interact with the pump, to fill the canister. Now you need to channel the gasoline through the pipes, by closing the pipes and turning the valves. Below is the solution:
