Solving the problem with incompatible game resolution
Introduction
Having entered the game, you can immediately display a black screen and an inscription “out of range” (“Out of range“), but this is also possible, that the initial splash screen runs fine, no mistakes, and after it will give an error. The fix is very easy..
The error crashes on the splash screen
1) Open The library stima
2) PKM on Metro: Last Light Redux –> Management –> View local files.
3) Next, you will open a folder with the game. We are looking almost at the very bottom of the file “user” and open with notepad.
4) In the opened file, almost at the very bottom, looking for strings:
r_res_hor 1920
r_res_vert 1024
5) The first line is responsible for the horizontal resolution, and the second is responsible for vertical resolution. Instead of these values, enter the resolution of your screen. In my case it is 1360 on 768. It should look like this:
r_res_hor 1360
r_res_vert 768
6) Save the file, start the game and enjoy.
1) on windows 7 (windows 10) press the keyboard shortcut Win + R. The system console will open.
2) We enter into the console “appdata” and click OK.
3) The AppData folder opens
4) We pass on local –> 4A Games –> Metro Last Light –> 110000117d8158e –> user (open with notepad).
5) In the opened file, almost at the very bottom, looking for strings:
r_res_hor 1920
r_res_vert 1024
6) The first line is responsible for the horizontal resolution, and the second is responsible for vertical resolution. Instead of these values, enter the resolution of your screen. In my case it is 1360 on 768. It should look like this:
r_res_hor 1360
r_res_vert 768
7) Save the file, start the game and enjoy.
